2011 FALLEN FIRE FIGHTERS' MEMORIAL

 

On Sunday, June 12, 2011, Toronto Fire Services and the Toronto Professional Firefighter's Association Local 3888 will host the annual Fallen Firefighters Memorial.


Four names will be added this year:

 

1964 January 26 Firefighters Bruce Catchpole, Leaside Fire Department

2001 March 4 Captain John Thewlis, Toronto Fire Department

2010 February 2 District Chief John Lalonde, Scarborough Fire Department

2010 March 19 Firefighter Erik Christensen, North York Fire Department

 

The ceremony will take place at:

 

Location: 399 Queen's Quay West

(beside Station #334, east of Spadina)

Time: 1100 hours

 

This is your opportunity, along with friends and family of the fallen, to honour the memory of Firefighters who have paid the ultimate sacrifice, while serving the citizens of Toronto. All Toronto Fire Service personnel are cordially invited to attend and show their respect. (Full dress uniform/white shirts).

The Annual Warriors' Day Parade

Start time: 10:30 am
Beginning at the Princes' Gates

The Warriors’ Day Parade is the longest running veterans parade in the free world and has been a part of the CNE since 1921.

LABOUR DAY PARADE

Labour Day Parade

Monday, September 5th
Start Time: Approx 11 am
Dufferin Gate

Keeping with tradition, the Labour Day Parade, celebrating the strength and solidarity of workers, is scheduled for Monday, September 5th. The parade, which travels along Queen Street from University Avenue and then south, will enter the CNE through the Dufferin Gates at approximately 11:00 a.m.
